How Do I Know If Therapy Is Right for Me?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or struggling with emotional challenges, therapy can provide guidance, support, and practical tools for personal growth. Whether you’re facing trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, or simply seeking self-improvement, counseling helps you gain clarity and develop healthier coping strategies.

What Should I Expect in My First Session?

Your first session is an opportunity to discuss your concerns, goals, and what brought you to therapy. Your therapist will ask about your background, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve, creating a personalized treatment plan to support your journey.

How Long Does Therapy Last?

The duration of therapy varies for each individual, depending on their goals and the complexity of the issues being addressed. Some clients find relief in just a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support over several months or longer.

Do You Offer Virtual Therapy?

Yes, we provide secure telehealth sessions for those who prefer virtual counseling. Online therapy offers the same level of confidentiality and effectiveness as in-person sessions, allowing you to receive support from the comfort of your home.

Is My Information Kept Private?

Yes, confidentiality is a core part of therapy, and all information shared in sessions is protected under HIPAA laws. The only exceptions occur in cases where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, as required by law.

Do You Accept Insurance?

We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Ambetter, and QualChoice for individual therapy, as well as self-pay options. Couples therapy is self-pay only.

What Issues Do You Specialize In?

We specialize in trauma recovery, relational life therapy, couples counseling, and emotional regulation. We also offer workshops and intensives for deeper therapeutic work.

What Happens If I Need to Cancel or Reschedule?

We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee.

Can Therapy Help My Relationship Even If My Partner Won’t Attend?

Yes, individual therapy can still help you gain insight into your relationship patterns, improve communication, and set healthy boundaries, even if your partner chooses not to participate.

What Makes Relational Life Therapy Different?

Relational Life Therapy (RLT) is a direct, no-nonsense approach that helps individuals and couples break unhealthy patterns, improve communication, and create stronger, more connected relationships. It focuses on deep emotional work and personal accountability.

Can I Come to Therapy Just for Personal Growth?

Absolutely! Therapy isn’t just for those in crisis—many people seek counseling to improve self-awareness, develop healthier habits, and work toward becoming the best version of themselves.
